
It was a successful weekend on the road for the Kellyville Kolts Premier League squads, with strong performances across the Men’s grades and a hard-fought result for the Women’s Premier League.
The Kolts continued their strong form with a 3-1 victory over Macquarie Dragons, getting the job done with a clinical second-half performance.
After a tight opening, it was Hamish Callaghan who broke the deadlock right on half-time, giving the Kolts a crucial 1-0 lead heading into the break. The momentum carried straight into the second half, with Brent Flavin finding the net just a minute after the restart to double the advantage.
Callaghan then sealed the result in the 90th minute with his second of the match, putting the game beyond doubt and capping off another impressive team performance.
Goal Scorers:
Reserve Grade set the tone for wins on the road with a dominant 3-0 performance against Macquarie Dragons.
Nick Giampietro opened the scoring in the 18th minute, setting the tone early. Matthew Drinnan added a second before half-time, giving the Kolts full control of the match. Kameron Harron then put the finishing touches on the result in the 68th minute to secure a comfortable win.
A disciplined defensive display ensured the clean sheet, rounding out a strong all-round team effort.
Goal Scorers:
The Under 21/1 side continued their positive run with a 3-1 victory over Castle Hill United.
It was another composed performance from the young Kolts, controlling key moments of the match and taking their chances well to secure all three points.
The Women’s First Grade side battled to a 1-1 draw against Rouse Hill Rams in a tough contest.
After conceding the opening goal, the Kolts showed great resilience to fight their way back into the match. Their persistence paid off in the 65th minute, with Caitlin Abbass finding the equaliser.
Despite pushing for a winner late, the Kolts had to settle for a share of the points in what was a spirited performance.
Goal Scorer:
The Under 21/1 Women’s side faced a tough outing, going down 4-1 to Rouse Hill Rams.
While the result didn’t go their way, the group continues to build and develop, with valuable lessons to take into the coming rounds.
