Premier League Wrap Up Rnd 1 & 4

March 31, 2026

Fortress Bernie delivers a statement start

There’s no better way to kick off a new season than at home, and with all five Premier League sides taking the field at Bernie Mullane, the Red & Black faithful were treated to a full showcase of Kolts football across the weekend.

In a unique start to the year, our teams are competing across three associations - North West Sydney Football, Hills Football and Blacktown & District Soccer Football - making it even more special to bring everyone together on home turf for Round 1 & Round 4 (of the MPL)

Men’s Premier League - First Grade

Kolts 5 def West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook FC 0

A dominant performance from First Grade set the tone early, with the Kolts putting five past West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook in a clinical display.

  • Reece Gerungan opened the scoring in the 24th minute
  • Hamish Callaghan bagged a brace in the 58th and 67th
  • Hayden Laurence converted from the spot in the 82nd
  • Beau Duffy capped things off late in the 85th

A complete performance at both ends of the park and a serious statement as they look to establish themselve in the new competition.

Men’s Premier League - Reserve Grade

Kolts 7 def West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook FC 2

If First Grade set the tone, Reserve Grade turned up the volume.

  • Ethan Jones struck early with goals in the 6th and 12th minute
  • Brent Flavin was on fire with a hat-trick (8th, 20th, 25th)
  • Kameron Harron added another in the 34th
  • A Lachlan Cash corner forced an own goal in the 66th

Despite two second half goals to the visitors, the result was never in doubt in a high-energy attacking display.

Men’s Premier League 21/1

Kolts 2 def Winston Hills 1

A strong opening hit-out for the 21/1s, grinding out a solid win to start their season. With plenty of new combinations building, it was a composed performance that got the job done.

Women’s Premier League

Kolts 1 drew Marayong FC 1

A tough and competitive clash to wrap up the weekend, with both sides battling hard.

Marayong took the lead just before half time from a corner in the 43rd minute, but the Kolts kept pushing and were rewarded late.

  • Krista Hagen rose highest from a corner in the 85th minute to level the scores

A deserved result and a great sign of resilience to fight back and secure a point.

Women’s Premier League 21/1

Kolts 4 def Marayong FC 1

A strong start for the WPL 21/1s, controlling the game and finishing their chances well to secure an impressive Round 1 win.

The Big Picture

Five teams.
Five games at home.
Four wins and a draw.

Not a bad way to open the season.

More importantly, it was a weekend that showcased what the Kolts are all about - depth, development, and a club-wide commitment to playing quality football.

Round 1 & 4 done.
Plenty more to come.

Let’s go Kolts. #BleedRedAndBlack
