ABOUT FEMALE FOOTBALL WEEK

Female Football Week is a nationwide initiative to celebrate the immense growth of women’s football at all levels of the game and acknowledge and promote the important role women play in developing football.

In 2023 Female Football Week will take place from Friday 19th to Tuesday 23rd May, 2023.

The objective of Female Football Week is to drive female participation at all levels of the game.

Throughout the week Kellyville Kolts will be actively involved in the delivery of female football events including:

• Friday 19th May O30 Ladies matches at Bernie Mullane Sports Complex
• Sunday 21st May MiniTildas, Junior Girls, Youth Girls & All Age Women’s matches at Bernie Mullane Sports Complex
• Sunday 21st May Charity Fundraising Event 10pm - 12pm Bernie Mullane Sports Complex Field 3C & 3D
• Monday 22nd May final night of Alex Tobin Female Skills development program
• Tuesday 23rd May Female Football Club Night

Female Football Week Matches at Bernie

Get your red and black on a get down to Bernie to cheer on the Kolts, whether it be Friday night for the Over 30 Ladies games or bright and early Sunday morning for the littlest female Kolts teams. Sunday has a full day of games showcasing Kolts Female teams from all age groups. All female Kolts players in Kolts gear on Sunday will be able to get themselves a free sausage sizzle.

Charity Fundraising Event

Kellyville Kolts in collaboration with students from Western Sydney University be will raising money for Northcott Disability Services. There will be fun activities between 10:00 - 12:00 and we will be raffling off some great prizes, including Matildas and Socceroos Jersey.

Alex Tobin Female Skills Development Program

For the past five weeks Alex and his team of coaches have been working with female Kolts players on Monday nights working on developing their skills for the game. This program wraps up on Monday 22 May, but I am sure you will see the girls showcasing their skills on the pitch when you next see them play.

Female Football Club Night

Our showcase event, the wrap up of Female Football Week. An event where we invite all Kolts Female Players, no matter what team they play in, to come down to Bernie from 18:30 - 19:30 for a celebration of female football. We will be running training drills and having fun activities for all ages. Our Women’s Premier League team, All Age Ladies Teams & Youth League Teams will be on hand on the night to coach, support and run these activities.

We will wrap up the night with a massive group photo of all Kolts Female players, so make sure you get down to our 2023 Female Football Club Night and of course a celebration would not be complete without a BBQ, free sausage sizzle for all Female Club Night participants.

Keeping It Social

We are keen to share as much of the fun as we can on our social platforms, so make sure you take plenty of pictures throughout the week, share them with your Age Coordinator and then look out for your pics on the Kolts social pages.
