C Diploma Coaches

March 30, 2026

Kolts Coaches Level Up with C Diploma at Bernie Mullane

Just before the 2026 season kicked off, Kellyville Kolts proudly hosted a Football NSW and Hills Football Limited C Diploma coaching course at Bernie Mullane.

It was a fantastic opportunity to support a positive learning environment right here at our home ground, and even better to see five Kolts coaches step up and take part:

  • David Rivett
  • Steph Romeo
  • Hayley Thayre
  • Daniel Case
  • Daniel Colosimo

All five successfully completed their C Diploma and wasted no time putting their new knowledge into action during Round 1.

Why Take on the C Diploma?

When asked what motivated them to complete the course, our coaches shared a strong commitment to growth and player development.

Some of the standout responses included:

  • Building coaching capability and gaining a deeper understanding of the game
  • Better supporting and developing players, particularly within female football
  • Learning how to structure, plan, and organise sessions more effectively
  • Being better equipped to coach their own children’s teams

It’s clear the drive to improve as coaches is directly linked to creating better experiences for players across the club.

Making a Difference on the Pitch

So what does this mean for Kolts players?

Our coaches were clear about the impact:

  • Helping players understand and improve their individual technique
  • Building confidence in players across all levels
  • Creating more enjoyable and engaging football experiences
  • Delivering better structured and more effective training sessions

At the heart of it, better coaches mean better outcomes for every player pulling on the Red & Black.

Words to Coach By

We also asked our coaches to share their favourite coaching philosophies. A couple stood out and really capture the Kolts approach:

  • “Observe first, then coach.”
  • “Create an environment where every player feels confident to try, learn, and grow.”

Simple, but powerful. And exactly what we want shaping the experience for every Kolts player.

Hosting courses like the C Diploma at Bernie Mullane reinforces our commitment to developing not just players, but coaches too. Strong coaches build strong teams, and strong teams build a strong club.

And judging by Round 1, our coaches didn’t just pass the course… they’ve already started putting it into practice.

Let’s go Kolts. #BleedRedAndBlack
