23 Kolts Teams March On After Semi-Final Weekend

What a weekend of finals football for the Kellyville Kolts!

We had 36 teams in action across the Hills competing in Semi Finals, with plenty of big moments, tight contests and everything you would expect when a season is on the line.

At the end of the weekend, 23 Kolts teams came away with a win and continue their push towards Grand Final glory.

For those teams that have already secured their place in a Grand Final, congratulations! Enjoy the week off, recover well and get ready for the biggest game of the season.

A Season to Be Proud Of

For those doing the maths, unfortunately that also means 13 Kolts teams went down over the weekend.

Of those, six teams have now played their final game of the 2026 season.

To those players, coaches and managers - hold your heads high.

Reaching the finals is no easy achievement. You earned your place there through an entire season of hard work, commitment and plenty of football, and everyone at the Kolts should be proud of what you achieved.

Sometimes finals football is decided by a single goal, a penalty, a bounce of the ball or one big moment. Whatever the result, qualifying for the championship series is something worth celebrating.

Premier League Teams Join the Championship Charge

Our Premier League teams have also given us plenty to celebrate, with both our Women’s Premier League First Grade and Women’s Premier League Under 21s qualifying for their respective Championship Series.

That takes the total number of Kolts teams to qualify for finals football in 2026 to an impressive 38 teams.

Congratulations to both squads and good luck as they tackle the Championship Series across the combined BDSFA, GDSFA and HFL Premier League competitions. We will be right behind you!

There was plenty to celebrate on the men’s side as well, with both Men’s Premier League First Grade and Reserve Grade recording victories on Prattent Cup Day.

First Grade already has the 2026 Premiership secured, while Reserve Grade remains on top of the table with two matches still to play. There is plenty still on the line as the Ressies look to make it a Premier League Premiership double.

And while our Hills Football finals teams will be scattered across the district this weekend, there will still be competitive football at Fortress Bernie.

Our Men’s Premier League will provide the standalone competitive action at Bernie Mullane this Saturday. So, if you’re not travelling around the Hills supporting one of our finals teams, get down to Bernie, throw on the Red and Black and cheer the boys home.

One More Chance to Reach the Grand Final

Now our attention turns to this weekend.

For 20 Kolts teams, this is the final opportunity to book a place in their Grand Final.

Unfortunately, there will be no home-ground advantage this time around, with none of our teams playing at Fortress Bernie.

That just means we need to take the Red and Black on the road!
